He has a very good understanding of the bush environment, and the extreme conditions your are presented with in such isolated areas. I always felt safe with him, and being around his dogs. July 2002, I packed the ute and the pup and we headed off on and A.P.F.E Hunting Safaris, for a three day hunt of Macquarie Marshes. After meeting Jason in Forbes, we carried on enjoying a good trip up. Once we arrived late that afternoon we set up our beds in the 5 star shearing quarters, which was home for the next four nights.

Hoping to teach the pup the finer art of hunting hogs, which were in abundance on the station, which was my main reason for the trip. Jason was willing to come forward with some tips and handy hints to help.

A.P.F.E Hunting Safaris was one of my most enjoyable hunts and I'm considering making it a yearly event.

I would highly recommend the hunting safari to anyone with pups, who is looking for some handy hints, and as unforgettable hog hunting experience

The 4 wheel drive, Pig Hunting trip out to the Macquarie Marshes, myself and two sons Warren & Mark and also four other participants. In total we took 9 dogs. We arrived on the Wednesday June long weekend, leaving Saturday afternoon. In this period we caught 65 pigs, of which 17 went to the chillers. The scenery, wildlife was tremendous and enjoyable by all. Accommodation was reasonable with shower, food and drink supplied, was sufficient for the weeks trip. As a non hunter myself I found the trip exciting , fishing was great, adventurous and guided with experience by Jason.

I recommend it to non and professional hunters of all ages for a pig hunting safaris with Jason Saxby Enterprises.

To the keen Hog Hunter,

I was fortunate to participate in a great value for money 3 day hunt, run by Jason Saxby of A.P.F.E Hunting Safaris. You would not meet a more willing to please friendly bloke than Jason. He is one of those blokes just born to be a hunting guide.

The ute is ready to go as you wake, with everything packed from Gatorade to staples for your dog.

Central Northern N.S.W is where this great hunting property is located there is heaps of great pig habitat including swamps, lignum patches and tea tree clump.

Jason's friendly relationship with the property manager Peter (who by the way is a great bloke too) makes finding where the pigs are lately just easy. Even though it had been dry we still managed to rack up a total of 40 pigs for the three days caught with dogs and a bit of good fair chase leg work.

All Jason could say at the end of all this was I hope you are happy, my response was"You have got to be kidding" With places like this to hunt pig dogging will never die.

So all you Hog doggers, Shooters and blokes with young dogs to train don't hesitate. I would fully recommend Jason Saxby and A.P.F.E Hunting Safaris they certainly showed this Central Queensland bloke a top hunt beyond all expectations.

The trip out west with Jason Saxby is one U won't forget. I booked a safari with Jason to get my young dog into some good pigs. Jason told me not a problem and he meant it, we saw more that weekend than the dogs seen his whole life.

It was great to know everything was organised which left me time to relax and enjoy the drive. Jason took care of the food, which was excellent and the accommodation was 5 star, definitely the best I've seen.

Jason had all the gear we needed so if you're like me and didn't take a knife and breastplate he's got it for you.

This trip was by far my best ever hunting trip with lots of pigs, good food and company I recommend it to anyone keen on doing some serious hunting with a professional team.

Hey Jason,

Just thought that I would let you know that I had the best 14th birthday ever. I will never forget it. It was the first time that I had ever been piggin and it was the best. I learnt heaps about how to catch pigs. The accommodation in the Shearer's quarters was great, and food was great too, with plenty of it. I was wrapped when we caught heaps of pigs and specially the big boar (great hooks) I can't wait to come piggin again, hopefully it wont be to long.
